New BDM for Victoria and Tasmania, Shane Mifsud, was next in line for our quickfire questions designed to get to know him a little better. Here’s what he said!
Who are you?
Shane Mifsud, Business Development Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, and this is my fourth day with Titan!
I live with my wife, two boys (aged 8 and 3), and three dogs just outside Melbourne. A noisy and lovely household.
What do you do?
My role is to help dealerships understand how the Titan DMS and product suite can power and grow their business, and how the Titan team can support from preparation through installation and beyond.
What do you love most about your profession?
Cars are my first love and I spent 13 years working in dealerships so I like getting out and meeting people with common interests and goals.
What do you most like about working for Titan?
So far, I’ve been impressed by the people and the values of the business. Everyone here seems to be heading in the same direction and that’s really refreshing. I’ve used other DMS systems for years and I’m also going to say that I’m enjoying how far ahead Titan seems to be in its technology and functions – that’s great news for me!
What’s the best piece of advice you have for anyone in your profession?
Put yourself in your customer’s shoes. What does their day look like? What are their challenges and opportunities? What would you like to happen if you were in their situation?
What is your superpower?
Being a big kid at heart as a dad.
What are we likely to find you doing outside work?
I have a quarter-mile drag racer and a couple of project cars so it’s likely to be something to do with them.
Tell us a book we should read, a film we should watch, and a podcast we should listen to.
Book – Can I say a Haynes manual?
Film – Facing the Giants – inspirational stuff!
Podcast – Sorry, just can’t get into podcasts. It’s music in the car for me, anything from Rock to Dance through Country or almost anything in between. I don’t mind, I’ll listen to it all.
What did you want to be when you grew up.
A detective
Sum yourself up in three words.
That’s tricky, but I’ll go for “Friendly”, “Dependable”, and “Motivated”.
